Her work has been exhibited regularly in Eastern, but also Western Europe, in such countries as the Federal Republic of Germany, France, Italy and England.
Pueva works in bronze and wood. She sometimes combines these materials in a single sculpture and most often paints the wood.
Het attention is primarily focussed on the human figure. The people she portrays are generally introvert, passive and vulnerable. Often their facial expressions reminds one of those of the saints depicted on icons. Sometimes their mood is similar to those of a primitive African mask.
Without doubt Margarita Pueva finds an important source of inspiration both in Medieval religious sculpture and the primitive art of Africa.
