The chance of the calendar permitted that in September I can exhibit three artists who have common artistic and human visions and sensitivities; visions and sensitivities which are also mine. In spite of their youth, one would think that they belong to past, however unforgotten civilizations. This “antique” background of their so contemporary being charms me and makes me dream. I hope that public will understand and appreciate them because of their powerful capacity to accept us in their middle in order our to let us taste from the “archaeological” landscapes as with Sylvie Samy, or from the always similar tragic destiny of mankind as with Nadée, or from the attack on the wind mills by the Dons Quixote of the third millennium, as with Patrick Girod. Their life experience and art education grew richly thanks to their travel to North Africa for Nadée, to Japan for Sylvie Samy, whereas Patrick Girod made extensively acquaintance with the distant places in this world. Their studies and their professions did the rest, like with Sylvie Samy as an art restorer and passionate of archeology, like with Patrick Girod, director of a retirement home, or Nadée, president of the artists association of the 4th district in Paris. Of all these worlds that were materialised by our artists, they bring us the objectives of mankind, feelings, emotions, which they show us in their canvases, sometimes with rigor, sometimes with emotion or humour. |
